Raby Castle
Raby Castle is located at Staindrop, Darlington in Durham, England. It was built in the mid 14th century on the site of an earlier fortified manor house by the powerful Nevill family who owned it until the Rising of the North in 1569. Since 1626, Raby Castle has been the home of Lord Barnard’s family.
Without doubt, Ruby Castle is one of the largest and most impressive of English medieval castles. A visit to the castle provides a wonderful day out for the entire family. Wonder at its towers, turrets, embattled walls, interiors and artworks from the Medieval, Regency and Victorian periods.
See the herds of deer roaming the surrounding parkland, enjoy the ornamental gardens, the horse-drawn carriages, relax in the tearooms and be tempted by traditional and unusual gifts & souvenirs in the gift shop.
Just visit Raby Castle for an unforgettable educational family vacation.

That is such a wicked castle. I’d love to visit England one day and see all the castles but it’s so expensive.

My mother-in-law stayed at Raby Castle during WW2 when she was evacuated. We were meant to go there for her 80th birthday but never got to. Would love to see it.

These monuments are extremely genuine if you have been to one of these castles you would see. Germany have some good ones too. 14th century and still holding up…amazing.
Best Regards,
